Delivering Rosebud Foreshore Playground for Mornington Peninsula Council

13 Nov 2019

Mornington Peninsula Shire Council has engaged Glascott Landscape & Civil to deliver the new Rosebud Foreshore Playground in time for Christmas.

Designed by HASSELL, the playground is being constructed to cater to the growing community and their new “Destination Rosebud” campaign encouraging a high level of usage in the summer months.

Works will include the construction of a large feature mound built with scramble rocks, stair cases, rope pulls for the kids (and adults!) to climb along with installation of various play elements. The play space will also include a number of picnic shelters set up with BBQ’s and seating to allow for a great day out for the whole family.

Victorian Manager, Mr Stewart Owen, said although the business is not well know in the region they bring experience and expertise that is second to none.

Glascott has been creating high quality public and commercial spaces for nearly three decades, working with some of Australia’s largest developers, builders, government bodies and architects on a diverse range projects. In essence, there is nothing we have not delivered somewhere in the country and it’s this experience we bring to Victoria.

In particular, they pride themselves on working collaboratively with local councils delivering excellence in public space and community infrastructure. Mr Owen said they are thrilled to be working with Mornington Peninsula Council.

This is great project and we look forward to providing the community with a high quality playground in time for summer.

Work is already underway at Rosebud with the new playground expected be ready by early December.
