Description:
Delivering on the Australian National University’s mission, to create the finest on-campus student communities in Australia, new student accommodation was built at their Acton Campus. The building replaced Bruce Hall – the first undergraduate residence built in 1961. Glascott delivered landscaping to the accommodation surrounds included new timber decking, exposed concrete and pavement with bollards and bike racks, plus large turfed areas. A new rooftop garden was created on top of the building with the centerpiece – the ‘Fugleman Statue’ – a heritage sculpture retained from Bruce Hall.
