Helping CIC Australia to build their flagship residential estate at Googong
We are very proud of our continued partnership with CIC Australia developing one of the ACT region’s largest masterplanned residential communities at Googong.
Glascott have worked continuously with CIC Australia over the past 5 years in the Canberra region to assist in the delivery of their flagship project, which will eventually house around 18,000 people.
Having completed Stages 2, 3, 4 and 6 of the initial nighbourhood including the award-winning Googong Oval, the team will carry out Stage 1, 2 and 5 at the next neigbourhood including streetscapes, open spaces, a new play space and the display village surrounds.
Glascott’s ACT Manager, Mr Geoff Bunnett said they are delighted to be continuing their partnership with CIC Australia.
“Through our work over the past 5 years, we have a thorough understanding of the vision for Googong and passionately share CIC’s goal of developing a community that captures the essence of the distinctive landscape and embraces the community spirit.”
For more than 28 years, Glascott has helped to deliver some of Australia’s largest residential estates. This experience produces a collaborative approach to managing each project ensuring high quality outcomes are delivered safely and to program.
Community engagement is a focus for the business and was recently demonstrated when they hosted a pole painting and BBQ day with the Googong Anglican School community. Kids, teachers and parents took part in painting poles that now form the palisade fencing around the recently opened Lovegrove Park, which Glascott also delivered as part of the landscaping package.
This next stage of the Googong masterplan is underway and is expected to be complete by November 2016.
