Glascott delivers first project for City of Casey
The city of Casey is the most highly populated municipality in Victoria and is situated in south-east Melbourne. For the first time Glascott Landscape and Civil recently completed a project for the Council of the City of Casey, providing an upgrade to Sweeney Reserve in Berwick, which is a vital green space in this crowded area. It provides numerous sporting venues as well as a large passive leisure reserve for the Casey community.
Glascott was happy to assist Council in the final stages of design before their project commenced, with input on the new handrailing to ensure the project was within scope and on budget.
The works carried out included demolition of an existing terrace area in front of the amenities building (pic), construction of a new retaining wall and installation of custom seating. The Team also undertook earthworks, installed the gravel pavements and the new custom-designed handrail.
“We’ve worked previously with developers in the Casey LGA and now we are very happy to have delivered our first project for Casey Council,” said Manager, Stewart Owen. “We look forward to delivering more projects for them in the future.”
