Creating outdoor ambience at Uniting Aged Care

13 Nov 2019

Glascott has been working with Richard Crookes Constructions building infrastructure for the past 5 years. Some of our partnerships include work at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA), Canberra College Cares Facility, and more recently, Amala Uniting Aged Care Facility.

Glascott started working at the United Aged Care Facility in 2015 and in 2016 completed Stage 1 works ‘Care House B’. Works included aggregate concrete, concrete stairs with railings and surrounding fencing, new garden beds with turf and irrigation, an outdoor structure with furniture and a barbeque.

More recently Glascott were back on site to deliver landscaping at the new Community Centre. Designed by 3600 Landscape Architects, and keeping with existing design themes, the Community Centre includes a kitchen, gym, large village green (turfed area) complete with paved chessboard. There is also a steel pergola structure along with seating and a stainless steel BBQ. Custom made perimeter fencing was also installed.

We are delighted to continue our relationship Richard Crookes Constructions on this project,” said Matthew Elliott, Glascott’s ACT Manager. “It gives us great pleasure to know residents are enjoying the new outdoor spaces and we look forward to partnering with RCC on the future projects.”
