Delicate restoration works at Chung Tian Temple
Glascott are delighted to be working with Construction Group to deliver upgrades at this important cultural site.
The feature of our work is the internal exposed entrance to the new portion of the complex – an expansive staircase sweeping from the lower temple up to the new temple and into the vast open quadrangle. The team are working with heritage tiling experts to refresh the stairs with new granite tread tiling in keeping with the cultural aesthetics to provide a safe and beautiful entry.
Feature trees, turf, and passive drainage pebbles will be installed in the quadrangle area, with other elements around this site to include earthworks, batter shaping, soil installation, paving, plant out and full site irrigation.
Glascott are working respectfully on site to minimise disruption to operations, staff and patrons while managing the complexities of the existing assets and access.
Works are due to complete in April 2022. We look forward to delivering a quality that aligns with the significance of this beautiful temple and legacy for the Brisbane Buddhist community.
