Working with Women in Construction to change the face of landscaping

With landscaping traditionally male dominated, our ACT division are driving the change towards improving gender balance and making targets a thing of the past through the Women in Construction Pathways Program (WICPP).
Over the past 12 months, the team has increased female representation by 16%, with two more part time staff members and three apprentices across construction and maintenance services.
Ray Jack, ACT Manager of The Glascott Group, said the focus must be on the industry to adapt. “It’s not about numbers. It’s about setting up a supportive structure and culture that encourages more females into the industry and towards a long and successful career in landscaping.”
The Glascott Group will continue to encourage more females to consider a career in landscape construction and landscape maintenance and work towards a richer and more diverse future for the industry.
