Glascott Landscape and Civil to Deliver Alroy Oval Sports Precinct

18/07/2024

We are excited to announce that our Hunter division has been awarded the contract to deliver Alroy Oval Sports Precinct, a project that will transform the recreational sports hub for the Singleton Strikers Football Club and the wider community.

Singleton Council in collaboration with leading architect GroupGSA, have designed the new Alroy Oval Sports Precinct with a key focus on promoting participation in organised sports, particularly football, among women and girls.

The project will ensure easy access to a purpose-built, gender-neutral amenities building equipped with shower cubicles, mirrors over hand basins, and power points for personal care appliances. Enhancements to the car park, footpaths, and lighting will further improve personal safety for all users of the facility.

The work includes:

  • Demolition of existing buildings and sports facilities
  • Construction of a new female-friendly and fully accessible amenities building
  • Upgraded car park
  • New footpaths
  • Upgraded lighting
  • Upgraded existing football fields and installation of a third football field to provide three full-sized fields with irrigation

Comprising 95% of the Alroy Oval Masterplan, the $6.5 million project is generously funded by a $3 million Australian Government Investing In Our Communities grant, a $2 million NSW Government Level the Playing Field grant, and Council loan funding.

Construction is scheduled to begin in September, with an expected completion date of September 2025.

Our team looks forward to delivering a state-of-the-art recreational sports hub for the Singleton community.
