Inner North Play Space – a landmark project for the ACT Government

We are delighted to announce our involvement in the Inner North Play Space in Watson, a landmark project for the ACT Government.
Designed by Spiire, the project aims to create a dynamic and inclusive environment that caters to a wide range of age groups and abilities.
Community input has been crucial in the design process, with the ACT Government and Spiire engaging with local residents to ensure the play space meets the needs and desires of the community. Key features include an Adventure Play Area, Nature Play Zones, and Accessible Play Equipment.
As the principal contractor, Glascott Landscape and Civil will bring extensive experience in high-quality open space to deliver the scope of work, including:
- Play space with swings, climbing, agility and group play elements, and elements for older children, including opportunities for skating
- Fitness equipment targeting body strength and circuit training
- Open grassed area for informal kickabout and gatherings
- Two multi-use courts – one full size and one half-size for a range of activities such as tennis, basketball, handball and hopscotch
- Amenities, including shelter, three-phase power, accessible seating, barbecue, drinking fountains and bins
- Accessible toilet/restroom with baby change facilities
- Concrete paths, on-street parking spaces, bike parking and two accessible parking spaces
The Inner North Play Space project represents a significant investment in the well-being and development of the Watson community and for Canberra’s inner north.
