Seymour Shaw Park Stage 2 completes a major transformation
19/03/2025

Glascott Landscape and Civil is proud to be delivering the final chapter of the Seymour Shaw Park upgrade in Miranda for Sutherland Shire Council, following the success of last year’s revitalisation of Box Road Reserve.
With work now underway, the project — partly funded by the NSW Government’s Accelerated Infrastructure Fund — completes the Seymour Shaw Park Masterplan, creating a more inclusive, dynamic, and sustainable community hub.
Stage 2 upgrades will enhance the park’s facilities, providing:
- Levelled playing fields for soccer, cricket, and netball
- A new clubhouse with modern facilities and a raised viewing platform
- Terraced bleacher seating for spectators
- All-abilities pathways
- Energy-efficient lighting for night competitions
- Native landscaping to enhance the park’s natural beauty
The Glascott team joined Sutherland Shire Mayor Jack Boyd, Sarah Kaine MLC, Member for Miranda, Eleni Petinos, and representatives from local sports clubs at a recent sod-turning ceremony, with Mayor Boyd stating, “Stage 2 completes a major transformation of one of the Sutherland Shire’s most cherished sporting precincts.”
Set for completion by the end of 2025, this upgrade will provide state-of-the-art facilities for athletes, families, and sports enthusiasts, fostering community connection and wellbeing.
