Ken Birdsey Park Construction Progress
22/05/2025

Progress is powering ahead at Ken Birdsey Park in Schofields, where early works are nearing completion on this landmark project for Blacktown City Council.
Significant advancements have been made across key areas, including stormwater infrastructure, land remediation, and bulk earthworks, setting a strong foundation for the next stage of construction.
Set across a large and complex site, the new park will include a sophisticated stormwater harvesting system, an upgraded creekline, premium sports fields, playground, and a 150m-long amenities building, all integrated with extensive planting and open space features.
Our recent milestones include:
- 15,000m³ of contaminated land remediated
- 72,000m² cut-to-fill earthworks
- Eastern creekline works completed
Stormwater drainage and harvesting systems underway - Amenities building main structure now complete, ahead of upcoming roofing, cladding and internal fit-out works
Ken Birdsey Park is set to become a high-quality, sustainable community space for the growing Schofields area.
We look forward to sharing more updates as the project progresses.
