Glascott Landscape and Civil is making solid progress on the Seymour Shaw Park Stage 2 upgrade for Sutherland Shire Council.
Led by Project Manager Martyn Rathbone, who recently delivered the successful upgrade of Box Road Reserve, this project is a key part of the broader transformation of the popular park in Miranda, NSW.
Stage 2 includes significant improvements to the park’s infrastructure and amenities, designed to enhance community use and accessibility. Works underway will deliver:
Levelled playing fields for soccer, cricket, and netball
A new clubhouse with modern facilities and a raised viewing platform
Terraced bleacher seating for spectators
All-abilities pathways
Energy-efficient lighting for night competitions
Native landscaping to enhance the park’s natural beauty
Our latest drone footage captures the current activity on site, including:
Truck deliveries of compactable fill to raise the subgrade
Grading and compaction of imported material
Excavation and drying of wet subgrade
What’s next?
Completion of bulk earthworks
Pouring of the eastern concrete footpath
Footing excavations for the new amenities building
We’re proud to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Seymour Shaw Park and support Sutherland Shire Council’s investment in safe, inclusive, and vibrant public spaces for the community.
