Oran Park Baseball Facility – building community sports

Greenfields Development Company has awarded Glascott Landscape and Civil the contract to construct a new baseball park in Oran Park. Following the successful collaboration between Greenfields Development Company, JMD Design, and Glascott Landscape and Civil on the award-winning Dawson-Damer Park (formerly Ron’s Creek Splash Park & Open Space), the teams will unite again to deliver the new sports facility as part of the extensive Oran Park master-planned community development.
Located 60 minutes South West of the Sydney CBD, the Baseball Park project aims to enhance recreational facilities in the area, contributing to the community’s growth and providing a modern, inclusive space for sports enthusiasts and families alike.
Glascott’s scope of works will include:
- Minor earthworks
- Soil preparation and spreading
- Irrigation to the baseball field including construction of an irrigation tank and pump
- Drainage of the baseball field
- Construction of baseball diamond
- Fencing of the baseball field and construction of Dugouts, Bullpens, and Umpires boxes
- Lighting to the baseball field
- Turfing and grass seeding
- Concrete and crushed sandstone paving
- Supply and installation of street furniture such as seating, and rubbish bin enclosures
- General planting works
The park is one of the many initiatives under Greenfields’ vision to create interconnected, vibrant living spaces that blend urban convenience with the charm of rural life, fostering a sense of community and promoting an active lifestyle.
