Glascott Helps Prepare Pondi – Western Sydney’s New Beach

At Glascott Landscape and Civil, we’re proud to have contributed to ‘Pondi‘ – Western Sydney’s first inland beach. Following our work before its inaugural opening last year, the Sydney team delivered further enhancements before the reopening for summer.

Commonly known as ‘Pondi’, Penrith Beach is a transformative project making a splash as a premier recreational destination in Western Sydney. In partnership with the NSW Government NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI), we completed a range of enhancements to elevate the visitor experience this summer, including:

  • Improvements to the Beach by importation & installation of Circa 2,000T of Beached sand
  • Detailed excavation and installation of a large concrete slab to house improved Amenities for beachgoers
  • Installation of Sandstone log seating areas
  • Installation of Hardstand areas to enable further furniture installations

These upgrades build on our previous works, which helped transform the former quarry site into a convenient, safe, swimmable haven, surrounded by parklands and natural habitats.
