Building Inclusive Communities: Glascott Delivers Accessible Play Space at Evatt Shops

Glascott Landscape and Civil is proud to partner with the ACT Government once again to deliver the new Evatt Shops Play Space —a vibrant, all-abilities playground designed to unite children of all ages and abilities.

This is our third successful playspace partnership with the ACT Government after Casey Community Recreational Park and Inner North Playground, demonstrating our dedication to developing inclusive community infrastructure.

Located in the heart of Evatt, this project features:

• Nature and accessible play elements, such as a nest swing, balancing logs, steppers, sensory play panels and wheelchair-accessible equipment.
• Soft-fall surfaces that guarantee comfort and safety.
• Shaded seating areas and a new toilet block.
• Improved accessibility with new parking bays, pedestrian paths, and stairways.
• Resurfaced service area and improved safety and access.
• An art mural and additional trees and landscaping to enhance the space.

This project exemplifies Glascott’s proficiency in delivering all-encompassing community infrastructure, in keeping with the ACT Government’s objective of a more engaged, equitable Canberra. With the project nearing completion, the inclusive playground will soon open.
