Description:

The Gipps Street Recreation Precinct is a landmark sport and recreation hub that exemplifies sustainable development on former landfill sites. Located in Claremont Meadows within the Penrith local government area, the project showcases Glascott Landscape and Civil’s expertise in delivering complex, large-scale public infrastructure projects.

Over a two-year period, Glascott transformed the 32-hectare site into a district-level facility offering diverse recreational opportunities. The team overcame significant challenges, including managing substantial landfill depths and adhering to stringent environmental and remediation standards. Through meticulous planning, solution-driven practices, and rigorous project management, the project was delivered to the highest quality.

The grand opening on 31st August 2024 drew over 7,000 attendees and was featured on Channel 9 and Channel 7’s 6 pm news.
