Description:

The upgrade to Sir Joseph Banks Park in Botany Bay included construction of new play area and an upgrade to the existing playground.

The project was split into 2 stages. Stage 1 was the delivery of the new play area, with a Junior Zone, Senior Zone and Play Tower that features a Knobbed Whelk – a large shell commonly found in the Botany Bay area, shelters, picnic areas, and a lookout.

Stage 2 included a contemporary upgrade to the existing playground, with the two Stages combined to form a large play footprint to cater to children aged 2-12 years of all abilities.
